Balance, posture, footstrike...
Arms, head, shoulders... Co-ordination... Breathing... 'Reflex running' is the name I give to my run coaching approach, because I see running as a reflex action. I've been running in Vibram Fivefingers and barefoot for over two years now - not a lifetime, I know, but more than most run coaches! I've led barefoot running workshops for the UK distributors of Fivefingers and I've always incorporated barefoot running in my technique coaching. Some say running is complex and needs a lot of technical practice to get right. Running is simple. But simple doesn't always mean easy. Running is instinctive. But instincts can be dulled. Running is complex. But it should feel effortless. I can help you rediscover your natural running form. As one of my clients said to me: 'It feels like you've taken the brakes off!'
